It is a school PC – then maybe profiles are protected, and you are NOT ALLOWED to change things.
IF YOU CAN – Sign on as the Admin, then ADD the limited account to Admin group.
Sign on as the ‘limited’, make your changes.
Make sure they stuck OK.
Sign on as Admin – remove the limited account from Admin group
Otherwise, you will have to re-load the files by running
SFC /scannow – system file checker, so the files are repaired.

then you should be able to make adjustments
If the schools administrator wanted you changing the computer they would give you access. Quit screwing around and do your school work.
I dont think you can change that without going through an admin account.
